The Boston Bruins missed their morning skate to receive a visit from the Dalai Lama

The Boston Bruins now have even more proof that they’re the best team in the NHL.

Sound like I’m biased? Even the Dalai Lama is on my side. No, seriously- the Dalai Lama was walking about TD Garden on Saturday morning. He was even seen sporting a Boston Bruins baseball cap, which means that the Dalai Lama and I have the same fashion sense.

That’s what I like to hear.

His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, got a tour of the garden while sporting his new headgear, effectively cancelling the Bruins’ morning skate for Saturday. The team will play the Ottawa Senators at 7:00 pm EST- and while they may not have gotten in their pre-game skate, they’ll at least be feeling pretty #blessed.

(And yes, I’m choosing to overlook that time that the Dalai Lama donned a Montreal Canadiens jersey. We all go through stages, Dalai Lama, it’s just important that we outgrow the bad ones as quickly as possible.)

Black and Gold suits you, sir.
