The Florida Gators are not the more talented team on the field in Jacksonville Saturday against Georgia, so they resorted to some trickeration to get themselves on the board.

We can all be completely honest when we say that none of us are really giving the Florida Gators a shot on Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. They’re nowhere close to being the most talented team on the field, so that means they’re going to have to get creative.

Well in the first half, down just 7-0, they did just that.

With about eight minutes left in the second quarter in Jacksonville, the Gators lined up for the field goal that would have cut the lead to 7-3. Instead, the coaching staff gambled, and it paid off with this 21-yard touchdown run by Michael McNeely.

Again, lining up man-to-man, the Gators aren’t quite on the level that Georgia is. But it’s plays like this that gives teams momentum and this could get Florida a little more confidence, at least for the rest of the first half.

Now though, with the trick pulled out of the bag, they’re going to have to do their best to beat the Bulldogs man-to-man, because Mark Richt is going to have his team on high alert going forward.
