The Maryland Terrapins left the ACC to join the Big 10 this season and head football coach Randy Edsall haven’t made a lot of friends in the process.
He started his Maryland tenure by questioning the methods former head coach Ralph Friedgen, who turned the Terrapin from a 2-10 bottom feeder to ACC Champions, ran his program, saying the former players had no accountability. He’s made some other comments along the way.
However, his actions have nothing on what his three captains did before they took on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday. The Maryland Terrapins went out for the game’s opening coin toss and when the Penn State Nittany Lions’ captains went to shake their hands, they refused.
Maryland was issued a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
