While a lot of the Heisman attention is on Dak Prescott and Marcus Mariota, people should not forget that Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon is quite possibly the best running back in the nation, and should also may be in the conversation at the top.
Well in the team’s game on Saturday against Rutgers, he did his best to make sure that people aren’t going to keep him too far out of that conversation for front-running Heisman contenders.
With the first quarter winding down and no score, watch in the video below as Gordon gets the Badgers on the board with this amazing 14-yard touchdown run in which he just makes the Scarlet Knights defense look silly.
With Todd Gurley having already missed two games and scheduled to miss two more coming up, Gordon is probably the running back right now with the best shot to take the trophy away from one of the quarterbacks.
He’s certainly holding up his end of the bargain on Saturday.
