Milwaukee Bucks, Brandon Knight Were Far Apart On Contract
By Josh Hill
The Milwaukee Bucks tried to work out an extension with Brandon Knight, but it didn’t happen and there seems to be work ahead to get something done.
When the Milwaukee Bucks tried to get Brandon Knight signed to an extension, the talks seemed to stall in the 11th hour and ultimately went nowhere. There were seemingly a variety of reasons for this but at the end of the day it looked like Knight and the Bucks weren’t on the same page.

Despite all of this, there were reports that indicated the Bucks and Knight weren’t that far apart on contract talks, which gave people hope that a deal could be worked out.
According to Gery Woelfel though, this isn’t the case as there was indeed a significant gap between what the Bucks wanted to pay him.
Knight will now become a restricted free agent in 2015 with the Bucks having the rights to match whatever the offer is on the market for him. That could be too high for them or it could be where they were coming in at with offers at the deadline. Either way, there was a gap between what Knight and the Bucks thought would be a good price and that will be settled by the market.
