In an historic matchup from Soldier Field in Chicago, the All Blacks from New Zealand defeated the US Eagles 6-74 in a one-sided affair
It’s the first game between New Zealand and the United States on US soil since 1980, and the first official test match between the two nations to be played in America as they played in front of 62,000 fans at Soldier Field in Chicago but it wasn’t much of a contest as the All Blacks dominated on the chilly afternoon.

The All Blacks started the scoring in what would be a sign of things to come for the afternoon as prop Nathan Harris got over in the left corner after a tap in the USA 22.
Eagles kicker Adam Sidall got the host team on the board with a penalty after the Eagles showed great ball retention as they pressured the All Blacks, but were still in search of their first ever try against the All Blacks.
The All Blacks responded right away with a try in the right corner from Cory Jane, who was set up by Israel Dagg with a great pass to take a 10-3 lead that quickly expanded to 12-3 after the conversion.
Adam Siddall had an opportunity at three points for the Eagles after a Blane Scully earned the penalty and Siddall was able to cut the deficit to 12-6, but that was as close as the Eagles would get on the day against the All Blacks as the rout was on after that.

The All Blacks took a 43-6 lead at halftime and continued to pour it on the host team en route to a 6-74 final as the Eagles showed some signs of competitiveness early in the game, but could not maintain that level of play against the All Blacks relentless attacking game.
