The Northwestern Wildcats are not having the best outing on Saturday against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Well, considering the fact that they’ve given up 38 points to Iowa, you could say it might be their worst of the year. But that didn’t stop Mike McHugh from trying to keep his team in it with one of the best catches you’ll see all year.
Trying to mount some sort of comeback on offense with time quickly running out in this one, watch in the video below as McHugh hauls in a near impossible catch to keep the drive alive for the Northwestern offense.
Now that right there is the pure definition of concentration. Not only was he able to pull that pass in, but then he was heads-up enough to keep himself in bounds so the catch was good.
Unfortunately, though, it doesn’t appear that Northwestern is going to be able to come back in this one and they will more than likely fall to 3-5 by the time this is all said and done.
But at least they’ll have this entertaining catch to watch in the film room on Monday.
