The Ole Miss Rebels and the Auburn Tigers are locked in their battle late in the fourth quarter, and for the Rebels, dynamic wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has had one of his better games. However, in the fourth quarter, disaster struck for one of the best talents in the nation.

Late in the fourth quarter the Rebels had the ball down 35-31 with the chance to get the go-ahead score. As he had done all night, Bo Wallace went to Treadwell when he needed help the most. Treadwell caught the pass and darted through the Auburn defense.

Well just as Treadwell was about to cross the plane and put his team ahead, possibly for good, he was pulled down from behind and it appeared that he injured his ankle severely on the play.

At the time it seemed as if he did get the score, but after a review, it was noted that he had fumbled the ball which was recovered in the end zone by Auburn, more or less ending the hopes of Ole Miss, who is more than likely out of Playoff contention right now.

But the story here is the injury that Treadwell suffered. He was carted off the field, and from the looks of the replays, his season may be over.

As more information becomes available about the injury to the Ole Miss star, we will keep you updated.
