The Indiana Pacers have suffered another setback with guard Rodney Stuckey re-aggravating his foot injury in tonight’s NBA action.

More from Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have been dealing with quite a few injuries throughout the offseason and into the preseason, and they simply don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Tonight, there was yet another injury with combo guard Rodney Stuckey re-aggravating the foot injury that has been bothering him since early on in the preseason.

Stuckey had been one of the major bright spots for the Pacers through the first two games, but has been kept on a minute restriction due to that football injury. Even though the Pacers were doing their best to prevent complications, he has been ruled out for the remainder of tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. Needless to say, losing him would be a very tough blow and would just add to the frustration that is building up in Indiana.

Through the first two games of the season, Stuckey has averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game. His shooting numbers were up at 52.6 from the field overall and 66.7 percent from behind the three-point arc. If he misses any major time with this foot injury, the Pacers are going to be in a very bad spot.

He was expected to be one of the key pieces that stepped up this season to replace Lance Stephenson, and had done just that in the first two games. Hopefully this is just a small aggravation and he is able to get back out on the court next game. That being said, with the Pacers’ luck he will have to miss an extended amount of time.
