Pittsburgh kicker Chris Blewitt missed a 26-yard field goal attempt that would have won the game for the Panthers and after he blew it, the internet had a field day with his shanked kick
The Pitt Panthers had a chance to defeat the Duke Blue Devils for a crucial ACC win today, but Chris Blewitt missed a 26-yard field goal try at the end of regulation that would have won them the game. After he blew it, the internet had some fun at his expense.

Duke ended knocking off Pitt in double overtime by the score of 51-48 after Thomas Sirk scored the game-winning touchdown in double overtime after Pitt was only able to get a field goal on their possession in the double overtime period.
However, it was the miss that Blewitt had in the fourth quarter that stings for a Pitt team who hoped to make some noise in the ACC with a win over last year’s Coastal Division champions.
Here’s a sampling of the twitter reactions after Blewitt blew it.

I even got in on the joke that was repeated by just about everyone with a twitter account.
It's awful when your last name is Blewitt and you miss the game-winning FG from 26 yards.

The miss was the second of the year for Blewitt who is now 11-13 on the season.
