The 20th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers are playing host to the seventh-ranked TCU Horned Frogs in what is a huge showdown in the Big 12.
West Virginia can get back in the race in the Big 12 and take TCU out of the equation.
West Virginia had control early but TCU took an early lead in the third quarter on a two-yard touchdown by Trevone Boykin. West Virginia answered with a five-yard touchdown run by Dreamius Smith and a 35-yard run by Terrell Chestnut.
Trailing 27-14, Wet Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett was intercepted by Paul Dawson. Three plays later, B.J. Catalon scored from 23 yards out to cut the lead to 27-21 with 2:25 to go in the third quarter.
