Texas A&M Aggies freshman defensive end Myles Garrett broke the SEC Freshman Sack Record on Saturday, surpassing Jadeveon Clowney.
Former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is no longer in the record books as the top freshman pass rusher in Southeastern Conference history, thanks to Texas A&M Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett.

On Saturday afternoon against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, Myles Garrett made his way around the corner and brought down Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Pete Thomas.
The sack for Garrett took his season total to 8.5.
Clowney had 8 sacks as a freshman back in 2011, but now the record has fallen.
Texas A&M leads Louisiana-Monroe at the half, 21-10.
Freshman quarterback Kyle Allen is starting for the Aggies Saturday, while Kenny Hill, who started the season as the team’s starter, serves out a two-game suspension. The Aggies’ have struggled in recent weeks, but their slump has not affected the impact their freshman standout on defense has had on the field.
Allen has thrown for 100 yards, one touchdown and an interception through two quarters.
