It has been a very disappointing season for the Oklahoma Sooners. They entered the season with high expectations and after the first few weeks, those expectations were raised. Several national media members began to tout Oklahoma as the favorite to win the National Championship and they were the country’s “most complete team.”
Since then, it has been all downhill. The Sooners have dropped two of their last three games to fall to 5-2 and had a much needed bye week last week. On Saturday, Trevor Knight and the Sooners returned to action against the Iowa State Cyclones.
It took them just two plays to score. After an Iowa State three-and-out, Trevor Knight found Sterling Shepard for a 46-yard gain. One play later, Trevor Knight scored from 31 yards out to make it 7-0.
