Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Blake Bortles hasn’t been having the best day on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but in the third quarter, he appears to be heating up a little bit.
When Bortles was named the starter a few weeks ago, everyone knew that he would be taking his lumps in his first season, but we also knew that he had some talent around him to make some plays here and there.
Well with his team down 19-3, Bortles struck with one of those big plays, with the help of Allen Hurns.
Down 19-3 with just under 10 minutes left in the third, watch in the video below as Bortles hits Hurns with the 40-yard bomb for the score.
He’ll have his bad moments, but again, he’ll also have these moments which shows that he can only get better as time goes on. It’s all about the Jaguars putting the pieces around him in the years to come.
Not to mention, he could also get a huge confidence boost today if he can get a win over the Bengals.
