The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys used to be division rivals, but today they’re just battling it out for the top spot in the NFC.
Without Tony Romo in the game, there was a lot of doubt as to where the Dallas Cowboys would get their points on Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals. So far, there has been no need for the Cowboys to use their offense — led by Brandon Weeden — as Dallas has used defensive prowess to put points on the board.

Carson Palmer made his first mistake of the afternoon against the Cowboys early on in the first quarter when he threw up a pass that was caught by the wrong team. Tyler Patmon stepped up and picked off Carson Palmer, proceeding to take it 58-yards for a touchdown and the first points of the game.

The Cowboys need to get all the help they can get with Romo out of the game, and this is a great way to generate points in unlikely places. You can’t always count on defensive touchdowns but the Cowboys can be lucky that such a thing has helped what is now a 10-0 lead over the Cardinals.
