Just a few hours after he suffered a season-ending leg injury in the Ole Miss loss to Auburn, Laquon Treadwell issued a brief statement on social media.

Saturday night the Ole Miss Rebels not only pretty much lost their shot at a spot in the College Football Playoff with their loss to the Auburn Tigers, but they also lost their top receiving threat, Laquon Treadwell, for the season to a broken fibula and dislocated ankle that he suffered at the end of the game.

With about a minute to go into the game, Treadwell caught a pass from Bo Wallace and bolted toward the end zone, carrying an Auburn defender with him. It looked as if we were going to see one of the more incredible game-winning touchdowns ever, but instead it was tragedy for Treadwell and the Rebs.

If you missed the play, here it is:

Treadwell was rushed to the hospital immediately and underwent surgery to repair the damages. Well just a few hours after that surgery has been completed, Treadwell took to his Instagram account to offer up some strong words during one of the worst times in his career.

Before going down with the injury, Treadwell was terrorizing the No. 3 Tigers and their defense, catching 10 passes for 103 yards and a score.

Hopefully he can make a speedy recovery and get back on the field better than ever as a junior next year.
