Asiata’s touchdown that came on a 12-play, 72-yard drive, gave the Minnesota Vikings their second straight win and their fourth win on the year giving them a 4-5 record going into their bye week. The running back played outstanding in the game with three rushing touchdowns on just 26-yards rushing and 31 receiving yards.

Matt Asiata took over for Adrian Peterson as the starter for Minnesota after week one and Peterson’s child abuse case that resulted in him being kicked off the team. Asiata has rushed for 277 yards with six touchdowns as well as a receiving touchdown.

The Vikings win overshadowed the return of Robert Griffin III as the quarterback for the Washington Redskins, who played decent with 18-for-28 with 251 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Redskins have dropped to 3-6 on the year.

Matt Asiata and the Minnesota Vikings will take a week off before a key divisional match up against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 16.
