Miami Dolphins Win, Ref Feels The Pain (Video)
The Miami Dolphins had a huge win Sunday that was followed up with the gatorade showering of coach Joe Philbin that was shared by an NFL referee.
The Miami Dolphins capitalized their 37-0 annihilation of the San Diego Chargers Sunday with a gatorade shower for head coach Joe Philbin that caught a referee as well, who didn’t seem too pleased.

As Philbin was doused, he seemed very cool, calm and collected, but the same can’t be said for the official who acted as if he was dying. While it was a little bit cool for the Miami area at 71 degrees today, that official was certainly sweaty from constantly running down the field for Miami Dolphins touchdowns, he should’ve appreciated the quick shower and probably did once he realized it wasn’t skin melting chemicals being poured on him. Clearly, the Miami Dolphins just wanted to show their appreciation for a well-called game as well as a well-coached one.
With the huge win over the now-slipping 5-4 San Diego Chargers, the Miami Dolphins slide to 5-3, trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
The Miami Dolphins squad was led by quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who completed 24-for-34 with 288 yards and three touchdowns spreading the wealth to three wide receivers.
Let’s hope the no fun league lets this one slide in their crusade to protect NFL referees.
