The Philadelphia Eagles lost Nick Foles in their Week 9 matchup against the Texans, but the injury could deb more long term than initially thought.
Nick Foles is the guy that the Philadelphia Eagles though would lead them to the playoffs, but the franchise’s fate this season is in the hands of someone else. Folks went down with a shoulder injury in the first half of the Eagles Week 9 game against the Houston Texans, paving the way for Mark Sanchez to get under center.

As cute as it is that the Mark Sanchez is starting again in the NFL, the real concern is in the locker room with Foles and the Eagles future this season. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are looking at a clavicle injury for Nick Foles which is an injury that may keep him out of multiple weeks.
For #Eagles QB Nick Foles, I'm told it's a clavicle injury. If it's broken, will be out a while.

The play that Foles got injured on looked like it was going to result in some sort of serious shoulder injury, as he appeared to be driven into the ground right in the wrong spot. Initially it looked like the type of injury that results in a separated shoulder, but that isn’t the case here.
A clavicle injury isn’t that much better, as it’s still an injury that if serious enough will keep Foles out for a few weeks if not most of the rest of the season. What that means is Mark Sanchez is going to be the man leading the Eagles this season as their playoff hopes rest in the hands of Sanchez and Matt Barkley.
