The Ohio State Buckeyes travel to East Lansing next weekend to face the Michigan State Spartans and they have revenge on their minds.

Last year, the Ohio State Buckeyes watched a school-record 24-game winning streak come to an end when they lost to the Michigan State Spartans in the Big Ten Championship.

That loss is still fresh in the minds of the current Ohio State players, and they will be looking for revenge when they travel to East Lansing next weekend.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the winner of next weekend’s game will find themselves in the Big Ten Championship next month.

For the Buckeyes, this game will be an opportunity to make a statement and erase the loss that they describe as “a punch in the face,” according to linebacker Curtis Grant.

“We feel like these guys took something from us. … It hurt. It hurt a lot,” fellow linebacker Darron Lee said, via Cleveland.com. “It’s full metal jacket now, we’re trying to go win this game. Everyone is focused, this game is here now, and we want to go take it.”

Quarterback J.T. Barrett, who is starting in place of an injured Braxton Miller this season, was also not shy about what this game means to the Buckeyes.

It’s kind of time for revenge,” he said.

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ opportunity for revenge will come in primetime on ABC next weekend, when all of the emotions come pouring out onto the field at Spartan Stadium.
