The Washington Redskins were on their way to TCF Stadium to play the Minnesota Vikings when they found themselves in the middle of a bus crash.
It’s not often that news is made before a game even starts, but the Washington Redskins have found themselves in one of the most bizarre and scary situations of the NFL season so far. According to Dianna Marie Russini from NBC4 in Washington, the Redskins team bus got into an accident on the way to their game on Sunday morning.

According to Russini’s report, the police escort missed the exit ramp they needed to get which caused the first team bus stop with the second slamming int the back of it.
While it sounds like a small fender bender, Russini reports that the players were all shaken by what happened.
The police escort missed the exit ramp, 1st bus carrying players and coaches avoided it, stopped and was hit from behind by the 2nd bus

Just spoke to several that were on the Redskins bus. Apparently it was way more than just a small fender bender. Everyone shaken

Washington wide receiver Pierre Garcon tweeted out evidence of the accident from inside the bus he was on. The most damage was done to the windshield of one of the buses which cracked and partially blew out. That was the bus Garcon was either on or got on to tweet from.
So this just happened. But we are ok. http://t.co/TFW5EB4PZX pic.twitter.com/rNcaB6MG4b

It’s a scary incident but it’s one that the team seems to be coming out of alright. With no major injuries to report, the Redskins will likely find a different way to get to the game today but it’s going to be hard to go from a bus accident to a football game and act like nothing happened.
