After the release of a jailhouse booking video that shows Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle pretty much throwing every one of his teammates under the bus versus taking accountability for his own actions, things get worse for him. Initially chastised harshly by tight end Jason Witten, Randle was then confronted after practice by wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Although, both Witten and Bryant have said the matter is squashed, the organization and other players don’t necessarily subscribe to that fact, as reported by Ed Werder of ESPN:
"“Team source confirms that backup RB Joseph Randle’s job with Cowboys remains at risk.” – Werder tweeted."
You’d be hard pressed to find a Cowboys fan that wants Randle to remain a player on this team. This year has been marked by a ‘brother in arms’ concept that Randle simply doesn’t exemplify with his actions and words. It’s clearly all about him, and unless the Cowboys want to risk this dividing the locker room and undermining great start, they need to release him, and soon.
When leaders like Witten and Bryant start sounding off on a player, it’s never good. Add to that defensive lineman Josh Brent also voicing his displeasure with the comments and you can see how this can quickly become a major locker room distraction. That’s if it hasn’t already.
