The Washington Redskins will enter their week 9 game against the Minnesota Vikings under some unique circumstances. Reports indicate that the team bus was in an accident on the way to TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday morning. It sounds like there were no major injuries to players or team personnel.
Mike Garafolo reports the following about the accident.
Per source, Redskins' bus in accident on way to stadium. Doesn't appear to be any major injuries but a few players shaken up. Stay tuned.

Apparently the front windshield of the bus was cracked pretty badly. Again, no Redskins players/staffers believed to be hurt badly.

Diana Marie Russini has further details on what sounds like it was a semi-serious crash:
The police escort missed the exit ramp, 1st bus carrying players and coaches avoided it, stopped and was hit from behind by the 2nd bus

Police escort may be in worse condition but told right now couple bumps and bruises but all looks to be ok. No major injuries on Redskins.

Just spoke to several that were on the Redskins bus. Apparently it was way more than just a small fender bender. Everyone shaken

Here is a photo of the bus from Chase Haslett:
Wide receiver Pierre Garcon provided an inside look at the windshield of the crashed bus:

Details will still emerge over the course of the day, but thankfully nobody was seriously injured in the accident. It will be hard to quantify just how much this type of thing will impact an NFL team, but it certainly has to have some of Washington’s players feeling out of sorts and thrown off their normal routine.
The Redskins are scheduled to kick off against the Vikings as part of the 1:00 PM ET slate of games in week 9.
