Following a tough loss to Tennessee on Saturday, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier was not in the mood for any questions in his press conference.

Saturday night the South Carolina Gamecocks fell to 4-5 overall on the season with their 45-42 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers at home. Everyone had assumed that we would get some epic Steve Spurrier quotes as he expressed his frustration, but what actually ended up happening was a bit surprising.
Spurrier walked into the media room on Saturday night, and instead of making some snarky remarks to help deal with yet another defeat, he just simply made his brief statement and informed the media that he’s not really in the mood to answer anything.
While many did expect Spurrier to provide something funny, the fact of the matter is that this wasn’t just a harsh loss. This wasn’t like the opening game of the season when the team was blown off the field by Texas A&M from start to finish.
With just under five minutes to go in regulation, the Gamecocks were up 42-28 and it seemed like it would be smooth sailing from there. Instead, they blew that lead and then the game in overtime.
You really do have to start to wonder if these are the last moments we are seeing of Steve Spurrier in his collegiate coaching career, at least in South Carolina. That looked like a man that is clearly fed up.
