Here are the top five frontcourt pickups for Week 2:

Oklahoma City Thunder. Perry Jones. 1. player. 149. The top pickup of the week regardless of position is Perry Jones who seems to be next up for the Thunder as their lead scorer as they look to keep things rolling without Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.  Jones has shown he’s up to the task with a 32-point and a 23-point game while also contributing decent numbers in peripheral categories as well.  He should be owned in all formats and makes a great ply for as long as OKC’s megastars are sidelined.. 45.7% Owned

player. 100. Another dynamic scoring SF that can fill in for you if Jones has already been grabbed is Chris Copeland who is playing over 30 minutes a game for the Pacers.  He has double digits points in all three of the Pacers games while making ten three-pointers and averaging 16.0 points per game.  He has added almost five boards and three assists per game as well making him a decent plug-and-play option if you need points and threes.. 3.9% Owned. Indiana Pacers. Chris Copeland. 2

Thompson is coming off the bench for the Cavs behind Kevin Love and Anderson Varejao, but he can still have solid contributions when he gets the minutes.  He proved that fact on Friday against the Bulls finishing with 13 rebounds, 16 points, and two blocks.  The emerging star will have some inconsistencies coming off the bench, but he is in line for good minutes for a good team and could see his role increase as the season goes on.. 18.8% Owned. Cleveland Cavaliers. Tristan Thompson. 3. player. 156

Rebounds are hard to come by on the waiver wire in most leagues which is why veterans like Garnett can still have value so late in their careers.  In his two games this season, Garnett has a total of 20 rebounds and 28 points.  While he won’t go off and stuff the stat sheet like he used to, he can be a useful double-double threat each night with solid rebounding numbers for as long as he stays healthy.. 9.4% Owned. Brooklyn Nets. Kevin Garnett. 4. player. 147

1.4% Owned. Charlotte Hornets. Marvin Williams. 5. player. 170. Williams hasn’t gotten off to a great start to the season, but he’s playing a major role for Charlotte and has an extremely favorable schedule this week. He contributes in peripheral categories and has the potential to go off if he can find his three-point stroke.  At this point he’s a flier pickup, but he is one with significant potential.
