Tony Romo appears to have a good chance to play for the Dallas Cowboys this coming week in the NFL‘s next game in London.

The Dallas Cowboys fell for the second straight week yesterday afternoon to the Arizona Cardinals, and it was obvious that they were missing their starting quarterback Tony Romo. Brandon Weeden looked absolutely terrible, and was the main reason that the Cowboys gave the game up. It was an embarrassing loss and knocked the Cowboys down to 6-3 on the year.

Romo is dealing with two small fractures in his back, but should be good to go next week. Head coach Jason Garrett is optimistic that he will have his starting quarterback back to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

From Pro Football Talk:

"“Hopefully, he just progresses. He’s gotten better and better every day since the injury. Hopefully he’ll feel better from a pain standpoint and hopefully that’ll positively reflect his ability to move around, get some stiffness out. We’ve got a couple days before we practice. Hopefully he’ll handle the flight well, get over there, blood will be flowing through his body, and he’ll feel good.”"

So far this season, Romo has been putting up great numbers and has been helped by DeMarco Murray picking up huge numbers on the ground. Romo has thrown for 1,998 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions, but three of those interceptions came against the San Francisco 49ers in the first game of the year.

Dallas has always found ways to collapse late in the season, and it usually has something to do with Romo. Hopefully this season won’t be another health problem, but his chronic back issues have been well documented throughout his career.

It will be intriguing to see how he plays Sunday if he does indeed get the clearance to play. Dallas desperately needs to get back on track this week, and Romo is the only quarterback that they have with the talent to help them get there.
