The information that you need to watch Joe Maddon be introduced as the new manager of the Chicago Cubs on Monday.
After all of the recent hoopla, the Chicago Cubs will officially announce on Monday that their new manager is none other than former Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon, once again giving hope to the most tortured fan base in all of sports.
A few weeks ago Maddon declined his option for one more year with the Rays, and it was assumed that he may be headed out to Los Angeles to take over the Dodgers. However, the Cubs and GM Theo Epstein quickly swooped in and were able to land the services of one of the best managers in the game.
Maddon spent nine years with the Rays, and in that time they saw multiple playoff appearances, including a trip to the World Series in 2008, which they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. Still, to make a franchise like the Rays consistently competitive was one of the biggest feats in the history of baseball, so you can see why the Cubs fan base is so excited.
On Monday, this will all become a reality and here is how you can watch it all play out live online as it happens:
Date: Nov. 3
Start Time: 3 PM ET
Location: Chicago, IL
Stadium: Wrigley Field
Live Stream: Comcast Sports Net Chicago
