Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell is out for four months after breaking his leg and dislocating his ankle in the loss to Auburn on Saturday but hopes to return in time for spring practice
Laquon Treadwell broke his leg and dislocated his ankle as he ran into the end zone on Saturday as Auburn’s Kris Frost tackled him from behind, forcing a fumble that was recovered by the Tigers and likely ending the Rebels chances of an SEC and national title in the most heartbreaking of ways.

Treadwell had surgery on Saturday night to repair to the fractured fibula and dislocated ankle to end his sophomore season and is expected to need four months to recover from the devastating injury.
Ole Miss head coach expects the 6-2, 229-pound receiver to be back in time for spring practice, although they will be smart and take a conservative appraoch with their most physically talented offensive player in the offseason to avoid any potential setbacks.
Rebel defensive end C.J. Johnson experienced a similar injury in 2013 and know the long road to recovery in front of the former No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the 2013 class.
"‘He’s really strong and he works, and it’s going to require work,” Johnson said, via the Clarion-Ledger. “He’s the type of person that can overcome something like that. The toughest part was just getting over the mental side of it and the pain aspect, starting back with everything. You’re off of (the leg) for so long, it’s almost like you’re learning to walk and run all over again. It’s a challenge but I know he’s up for it. We’ll be there to support him.”"
Treadwell was the team’s leading receiver with 48 receptions for 632 yards and five touchdowns this year and was regarded as one of the best NFL draft prospects in his class.
