Les Miles is not just focused on LSU’s upcoming game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, the head coach of the Tigers is also urging each of us to rock the vote on election day on Tuesday

You could forgive Les Miles if he was focused entirely on the LSU Tigers hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night and forgot about election day on Tuesday. You certainly could understand it Miles didn’t take a few moments from his Monday afternoon press conference to urge us all who are eligible to vote to get out and do so, but that’s what he did.

Les is one of the Hall of Fame quotes in college football and there aren’t too many characters left anymore, but it’s an original and we need to cherish every moment he steps behind a microphone, because we never know what kind of gold could be spilling out of him when he opens his mouth.

With LSU getting better with every week and a tough Alabama opponent coming to town this week, Miles took a moment to step away from the development of his quarterbacks, the play of his freshmen running back Leonard Fournette or how he plans to beat Alabama to explain to us about our civic duty to get out and vote.

“Just recognize that it’s election day coming up, where all those model citizens will get off and take care of their duties to heir country,” Miles said. “This is not Columbus Day: this is not just for Italians. This is certainly not St. Paddy’s; it’s not just for the Irish. It is for all of those who have the ability to vote in our country, so get out and do that, please.”

Don’t disappoint him and get out and vote on Tuesday.
