Losers: San Francisco 49ers

As good as the Arizona Cardinals looked, the Niners looked out of sorts. This is a team which doesn’t seem to have an offensive identity.

The defense plays all right, reloading after every injury.

But the offense is healthy and yet still struggles.

That last play, where quarterback Colin Kaepernick fumbled on the goal line is a perfect example. Why was Frank Gore not carrying the ball? On either of the two downs at the goal line?

It’s baffling how the team is using (or not using) their top running back and it’s not the first time this year we’re left wondering what the heck the team is thinking.

Gore was frustrated, and he should be. That situation is why you have Gore. To not use him is just foolishness.
