By Wes Goldberg
Much to the chagrin of Philadelphia Eagles fans, Mark Sanchez could be their starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Here’s a question. Can there really be an NFL without a Mark Sanchez?
Oh, the joy Sanchez has brought into our lives with countless laughs and happy smiles for everyone but New York Jets fans. Well, now Philadelphia Eagles fans can be the butt of the joke.
With Nick Foles expected to miss six-to-eight weeks with a broken collarbone, Sanchez seems to be the starter for a long stretch of games that could even go into the playoffs, depending on Foles’ recovery.
The former New York Jets quarterback, Sanchez, signed with the Eagles in the offseason. Foles left Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans early, and Sanchez played three quarters in Chip Kelly’s offense. He completed 15 of 22 passes for 202 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Eagles are 6-2 with Foles as the starter, but that’s not to say Foles was outstanding as the starter. Unlike last season. Foles has been throwing interceptions. He’s got 13 touchdowns and 10 picks on the year–that’s not a good ratio. Sanchez isn’t necessarily the guy you would throw in if you wanted fewer interceptions, but his main job is to keep the Eagles flying for now.
Basically, don’t screw it up, Mark.
Sanchez has a great opportunity to turn his career around now, and it should be worth watching to see if he completely butt fumbles this opportunity or if he can bounce back under Kelly.
