After hearing the ruling on his plea agreement, the mother of Adrian Peterson‘s child wants the NFL star in the child’s life.
Adrian Peterson reached a plea deal today with the Montgomery County District Attorney. After being handed a fine, some community service hours, and probation, he now sets his sights on heading back to the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL. More surprising though, the mother of Adrian Peterson’s child still wants the running back in his life.

After breaking the news about what exactly Adrian Peterson would be looking at as far as punishment goes, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that the mother of the child Adrian Peterson “disciplined” wants for the running back to remain in the son’s life.
DA Brett Ligon says the mother of the child wants Adrian Peterson to have contact with the child.

Prior to the court ruling, Peterson was told to stay away from the child and have no contact. Now it appears that the mother has decided she wants Peterson in the child’s life and to continue to be a father.
Peterson has been widely scrutinized through the court of public opinion since the initial story broke early this NFL season. The question now is, will the mother of his child seemingly forgiving him and requesting that Peterson still have contact with the child result in public forgiveness as well?
Adrian Peterson will now try to move forward with the goal of rejoining the Vikings and helping to make a late season playoff push. That could get derailed though if the NFL decides to rule against him and in favor of a suspension now that the legal side of things have been cleared up.
