Anthony Davis Throws Down Nasty Dunk (Video)
By Evan Massey
New Orleans Pelicans‘ forward Anthony Davis threw down a nasty dunk off of a nice pass from Jrue Holiday in tonight’s NBA action.
Anthony Davis has been one of the more hyped up players in the NBA throughout the offseason and into the start of the regular season, but he hasn’t had the best year so far outside of the season opener. He has been talked about as a potential darkhorse MVP candidate, and he is showing some of that skill off tonight with a nasty dunk off the pass from Jrue Holiday.

New Orleans has put together a very solid team, and they need Davis to be the leader of their team. They have the potential to be a playoff team, and they match up very well with most teams around the league. These types of plays are exactly what make the Pelicans such a danger to teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Take a look at Davis’ nasty alley-oop dunk from Holiday:
That type of athleticism isn’t easy for most teams to match up with, and Davis has a lot more potential to reach before he stops growing as a player. Holiday is beginning to come into his own, and the Pelicans have a ton of talent to live up to. New Orleans is going to be a playoff contender at the end of the year in the Western Conference if they keep playing like they have so far this year.
