Cleveland Browns GM Ray Farmer recently addressed whether or not he’s flirted with trading Johnny Manziel.
At 5-3 after eight games this season and still firmly in the hunt for the AFC North title, it’s pretty clear that the Cleveland Browns will not be inserting Johnny Manziel into the starting quarterback spot in place of Brian Hoyer, who has done a pretty good job of leading this offense thus far.
With Hoyer not exactly up there in age and looking as if he is the man the Browns have been looking for all these years under center, people have started asking whether or not the Browns would consider trading the rookie Manziel away to a team that might want his services on the field, as well as the media hype that comes along with him.
On Tuesday Browns GM Ray Farmer was asked if he has fielded any calls from anyone in regards to a possible trade for the former Heisman winner, and well, he didn’t exactly say no.
He wouldn’t say yes nor would he say no as to whether or not people have talked to him about parting ways with Johnny Manziel, but you would have to assume that teams have picked up the phone to feel the process out with each week that Hoyer cements himself as the Cleveland quarterback of the present and future.
