Arizona Cardinals‘ defensive end Darnell Dockett tweeted his support for Minnesota Vikings‘ running back Adrian Peterson as he looks to make his NFL comeback.
Now that Adrian Peterson has begun putting all of the issues behind him with the plea deal that has been publicized so much over the past couple of days, there are many that are beginning to support him and get behind his return to the NFL. One of those players is Arizona Cardinals’ defensive end Darnell Dockett, who has been helped by Peterson in his recovery from a torn ACL.

Dockett has been a very outspoken player throughout his career, and it’s good to see him getting behind Peterson as he looks to get back on the field. Peterson has been through quite a bit this year, but now he appears ready to get back into the league and put the drama behind him. There will likely be plenty more players that come out and support Peterson over the next couple of weeks.
So glad AP getting this behind him... Wish him and his family well. Good dude. Made Mistake.. Gave me the blue print on ACL...

Peterson has been thought of as the NFL’s best running back for quite some time now, and has overcome quite a bit throughout his career. He has torn an ACL that he bounced back from and was even better than before the injury, and he also has had to deal with playing on one of the lesser talented franchises in the entire league.
Throughout his 104 NFL games, Peterson has carried the football 2,054 times for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns. He has also caught 208 passes for 1,715 yards and five touchdowns.
Those numbers show just how valuable he has been on the field for the Vikings, but he has also been a major leader for them. Opposing players like Dockett know just how good Peterson is and how much of a competitor he is. It’s very obvious that players around the league respect him.
