Mychal Rivera-TE-Oakland Raiders (2.0%)

Rivera has emerged in the last two weeks and is the top pickup at a thin tight end position heading into another week with few promising options on the waiver wire.  Last week against the Seahawks, Rivera scored both the Raiders offensive touchdowns continuing the Seahawks struggles defending opposing tight ends.

Even aside from his two scores, Rivera has been impressive the last two weeks hauling in a total of 15 passes for 121 yards after totaling just 13 catches in the Raiders first six games of the season.  Obviously, Tony Sporano’s offense has helped Rivera become more involved and he’s developed a solid connection with Derek Carr.

This week, Rivera and the Raiders face the Broncos who will be looking to bounce back from the trouncing they took in New England.  However, even though the Raiders are in trouble, it sets up well for Rivera since the Broncos have struggled against opposing tight ends allowing four TE touchdowns in the last four weeks. If you need a tight end this wee, Rivera is the one that makes our week 10 waiver wire pickups.
