Minnesota Vikings‘ running back Adrian Peterson would like the NFL to move quickly to let him back onto the field.

Adrian Peterson looks like he’ll be back on an NFL field before the end of the season, and he would like the league to move quickly to re-instate him. It is likely that he could re-join the Minnesota Vikings following the bye week, and needless to say his teammates will be very excited to bring him back.

Peterson’s lawyer made some comments about him wanting to make his NFL comeback as soon as possible.

From Pro Football Talk:

“It takes only an airplane trip to do it. I’m hoping that can be done quickly and I’m hoping the NFL is receptive to it and agrees to it and get this issue off the front page, because it’s time for him to go back and . . . play football.”

So far in his 104 career NFL games, Peterson has carried the football 2,054 times for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns. He has also caught 208 passes for 1,715 yards and five touchdowns. Peterson has long been considered the NFL’s best running back, and he will be able to pick that up quickly once he gets back onto the field.

The NFL has had a lot of issues throughout this season, but getting Peterson cleared and back onto the field quickly would be a good move for them. He has proved himself innocent outside of a couple different issues, and is willing to answer for what he has done wrong.

Expect to see Peterson back on an NFL field in the near future, and tearing up opposing defenses once again. He has a long ways to go before his career is over, and it will be nice to see him back out there. Minnesota has needed their running game back, and Teddy Bridgewater will look much better with Peterson behind him in the backfield.
