The mid-term elections were Tuesday and there are plenty of people angry (and some happy) with the results.
Many have banked on specific candidates to win while some supported candidates who weren’t even on the ballot.
Alabama resident David Ikard, an Alabama resident, didn’t care if Republican candidate Robert Bentley defeated his Democratic challenger, Parker Griffith, in the Alabama gubernatorial race. His vote was for Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Just for more proof:
Hey, if you’re going to vote for a football player, specifically an Alabama football player, Cooper is the choice. He is re-writing the Alabama record books and is a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate. He has 71 receptions for 1,132 yards and nine touchdowns on the season.
This isn’t anything new to Alabama fans. In 2012, Alabama head coach Nick Saban received plenty of votes, including at least one for president.
It’s good to see so many Alabama fans taking the democratic process so seriously.
Bentley defeated Griffith and was re-elected as governor of the state of Alabama. Just in case you were wondering.
