Anaheim Ducks’ Corey Perry And Ryan Getzlaf Out With Flu
The Anaheim Ducks are playing sans-Corey Perry AND Ryan Getzlaf, who both have the flu
To open up the Anaheim Ducks’ game against the New York Islanders, the team will be dealing with some… ah, bad luck. Namely, the flu.

According to Los Angeles Times’ Helene Elliott, the pair showed up to the Honda Center sick this afternoon- and were sent home by the team.
First off, who shows up to the game with the flu? That’s nasty. Go home, and don’t get anyone else sick. Second, why are you BOTH sick, on the same day? WHO DRANK OUT OF SOMEONE ELSE’S GATORADE BOTTLE?
The team is already down one starting netminder, as John Gibson is out with a groin injury for the next four to six weeks. Add that to Frederik Andersen being on and off with ‘leg tightness’, and the Ducks might be looking at a drop-off from their monstrous production to start off the season.
No word yet from the Ducks on how long Perry and Getzlaf will be out for. I would assume they’ll be contagious for the next couple of days, but maybe they’ll be back for the game against the Arizona Coyotes on Friday?
