Minnesota Timberwolves‘ forward Anthony Bennett put down a nasty dunk on Brooklyn Nets‘ big man Mason Plumlee in tonight’s NBA action.

The Minnesota Timberwolve traded away franchise power forward Kevin Love this past offseason, and they brought in quite a bit of young talent to move forward with. Both Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett were key pieces of the trade, and they both have extremely bright futures. Bennett was thought of as a bust last year in Cleveland, but he has cut down some weight and is a much better player this season.

More from Brooklyn Nets

Bennett has actually shown some athleticism as well, and had a prime example of that ability tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. Mo Williams was driving into the lane and ended up having the basketball poked away from him, but it landed softly into the arms of Bennett and he finished off a poster of Nets’ big man Mason Plumlee.

Take a look at the nasty dunk:

Needless to say, Minnesota would like to see a lot more of that type of play from Bennett. He has the potential to be a very good NBA player, but he still has a good amount of work to get done before reaching that point. The Cavaliers selected him at number one overall for a reason and they are desperately hoping that he can reach that full potential.
