Arian Foster Plans To Play After Houston Texans’ Bye Week
By Hayden Kane
Houston Texans‘ running back Arian Foster plans to play in week 11 after his team’s bye week as he deals with a groin injury.
The Houston Texans will have a new look on offense when they take the field after their bye in week 11 of the NFL season. Ryan Mallett will take over at quarterback for the wholly ineffective Ryan Fitzpatrick.

In order to ease that transition and help ignite a bit of a spark in their struggling offense, the Texans would love to have running back Arian Foster healthy and in the lineup. The stud running back left his week 9 game with a groin injury, and while it looked serious at the time, the Texans are hoping Foster won’t miss any additional time.
Foster is hoping for the same, and on Tuesday he said that he plans to play after the bye.
It was not clear what went wrong for Foster, exactly, as this was a non-contact injury. That was concerning, but not nearly as concerning as Foster’s reaction as he slammed his helmet in disgust upon reaching the sidelines. While we should all be wary of reading too much into those types of actions, it was difficult not to wonder if Foster did that because he knew the injury was serious.
For now, it sounds like the stud running back will be in action for the Texans in week 11.
Foster has rushed for 822 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Alfred Blue would take over starting duties if Foster wasn’t able to go.
