Vladimir Tarasenko’s amazing goal for the Blues against the Rangers, as depicted via a flipbook
If there was ever a cooler reason to be a hockey fan, I need to know now.

During the New York Rangers’ game against the St. Louis Blues, Vladimir Tarasenko reminded everyone of why he’s the new Captain Clutch with this amazing ‘highlight reel’ goal. He basically danced around every blueshirt out on the ice, then slipped one past backup netminder Cam Talbot, to bring the Blues to a 1-1 tie in the second period.
Tarasenko, of course, is the young forward who wants to be elite. Uh… this is exactly how to do it, Tarasenko. Never stop doing things like this.
It was on a power-play, so *technically* the Rangers were short-handed.
Still, this was a sick goal- so sick, in fact, that the Flippist- who doesn’t even watch hockey- decided to depict it in a flipbook.
I would give you the video of the original goal, but this flip book is scarily accurate. There’s literally no need to watch the actual highlight reel- whoever the Flippist is, he’s got ridiculously good hockey reenactment artwork skills.
If someone can re-enact the Bruins–Canucks Stanley Cup Final via flipbook, I’ll pay them my life’s savings. OR- Bobby Orr’s infamous flying goal. That one would be nice too. Can this happen? This should happen.
