Derrick Rose has made it through the first few games of the NBA season without a season ending injury and considering his track record, that’s great news. Unfortunately however, he still is banged up and now has been downgraded from probably to questionable against the Bucks.
The Chicago Bulls have a strong nucleus of talent, and regardless of whether or not Derrick Rose is on the court or not, they will compete. There is no denying though that a player with his level of talent elevates the game of the entire team.
K.J. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is now reporting that Rose’s status for the game against the Milwaukee Bucks may be in doubt, and he’s not the only one.
Also noted by Johnson is that Joakim Noah will likely not be available for the game. Forget how bad the Bucks are, losing your two best players is never going to be a recipe for success. At this point however, he does note that it appears both Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler appear as if they will play.
It is extremely unfortunate the amount of injuries that Derrick Rose has had to go through in a rather short amount of time. Considering his age, and his ability level, the NBA and Chicago Bulls fans have only been able to witness it in short bursts due to the time he has spent off of the court.
Here’s to hoping this latest injury is not one that lingers, and that Rose finds himself back to full health in rather short order.
