Philadelphia 76ers rookie K.J. McDaniels had maybe the highlight of the night on Wednesday against the Magic when he threw down an amazing one-handed alley-oop slam.

More from NBA

The Philadelphia 76ers are playing the Orlando Magic at home on Wednesday night in a battle of teams struggling to put themselves together. And with the first half coming to a close in Philly on Wednesday, rookie K.J. McDaniels had the whole NBA world buzzing.

As the 76ers are putting together their master rebuilding plan, McDaniels is one of the key pieces. This past June the Sixers selected the former Clemson star in the second round of the draft, and he was quick to show on Wednesday just how valuable he can eventually be for this team.

Watch in the video below as, in the transition, McDaniels takes the alley-oop pass from Tony Wroten and proceeds to throw it down violently with one hand–all while making Mo Harkless from the Magic looks really bad in the process.

There really is some good young talent on this team, plus there is some more help on the way. While a lot of people will be quick to laugh at them now, that might not be the case in a few years, especially if a player like K.J. McDaniels keeps developing.

Ask Mo Harkless if he thinks it’s funny.
