So when Rice is asked his thoughts on the current landscape of the position, it is worth listening to.
Rice spoke with Talk of Fame Network to discuss the best young wide receivers in the NFL and he pointed out Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers as the best currently in the game.
“He’s killing it right now,” Rice said. “I had an opportunity to talk to this guy, and he tried to get in my head. He wanted to know my workout regimen and how did I sustain for so many years. I just told him it was all about work ethic and never getting complacent and never getting to a point where you can relax now.”
Antonio Brown leads the NFL in receiving with 996 yards through nine games.
Brown is averaging 14 yards per catch on 71 receptions, with eight touchdowns to his name this season. The eight touchdowns tie a career high.
At just 26 years old, Antonio Brown certainly fits the bill as one of the best young wideouts in the game and Jerry Rice giving his endorsement goes to show just how impressive Brown has been.
With his impressive work ethic and route running ability, there is no reason to believe Brown will be slowing down anytime soon.
