Malik Henry has selected his Final Four and won’t need a playoff to decide where he will attend, as the five-star quarterback from Thousand Oaks (Calif.) Westlake announced when he will make his decision on national television next Thursday afternoon.
The nation’s number four recruit of the class of 2016 according to 247sports.com, Henry will chose between national powerhouses Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCLA during a segment on ESPNU’s College Football Daily at 3 pm Eastern.
Henry is ranked as the top recruit in California and is also rated as both the nation’s top pro-style and dual-threat quarterback.
The 6-3, 180-pound Henry was in attendance for Florida State’s win over Notre Dame last month while making an official visit to Tallahassee, which is where 247sports.com Director for Recruiting Steve Wiltfong believes Henry will commit to, although 50 percent of the site’s “Crystal Ball” projects Henry to become a member of the Fighting Irish, with 46 percent point the direction of Florida State.
Florida State has already established the foundation for an impressive 2016 recruiting class with four hard commits thus far, and the addition of Henry would bolt the Seminoles near the top of the list. Coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff have already received commitments from four-star defensive ends Josh Brown and Janarius Robinson, wide receiver Keith Gavin and defensive tackle Cedric Wood.
