Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green appeared to try to lick Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin in the Warriors’ rout of the Clippers.

Nearly lost in the shuffle of the Golden State Warriors‘ merciless beatdown of the LA Clippers was a tongue wagging that turned a little weird and potentially cold-inducing. Warriors forward Draymond Green appeared to be taunting Clippers star Blake Griffin by sticking out his tongue, then he got closer. And closer. Then a little closer. Then, well, just watch for yourself.

Fortunately we don’t really see the end of that sequence. We probably don’t need to see what happens next, because there’s really no winning scenario there. The same can be said for the Clippers, who lost 121-104, but trailed by nearly 30 at the time of this attempted licking.

Green is enjoying a career-high start to this season. In four games with the Warriors, he’s established career highs in minutes played, points and rebounds.

While one can expect the former second-round pick to come back down to the earth soon enough, it appears he’s playing a key role in the early successes of Golden State, who are looking to challenge the big boys in the Western Conference for NBA supremacy.

Time will tell how legitimate they are in that threat, but for now it’s safe to say that at least one player knows how to get in the head of Blake Griffin, who the Warriors will see plenty of this season in this budding rivalry.
