Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward had seven assists and 21 points, including a buzzer-beater in the fourth quarter, to lead the Jazz to victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The Utah Jazz gave Gordon Hayward $63 million dollars this offseason to keep him from leaving, and certainly hope they continue to get performances similar to what the forward put up in a thrilling 102-100 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which saw Hayward pass out seven assists, and score 21 points, including the game-winning dagger as time expired.

With 3.4 seconds left in the game, and the score tied at 100, Hayward took the inbounds pass and his defender, Cavs star LeBron James, fell down to the hardwood, allowing Hayward to get free and fire the buzzer-beater ahead of Tristan Thompson. Hayward was mobbed by his Jazz teammates after hitting the shot, and shot 7-of-12 in the game, while playing some nifty defense to help shut down James.

Here’s video of Hayward’s shot, and the stunned reactions by the Cavs announcing crew of Fred McLeod and Austin Carr pretty much sum up how it must have felt for Cleveland, but they were outplayed by Utah and especially Hayward. The Cavs have plenty of time in this NBA season to figure themselves out, so soak in Hayward’s shot below:
