The Houston Rockets have started the season 5-0 while the defending champion San Antonio Spurs have opened with a record of 2-1. The Rockets do own a rather impressive victory over the
but they believed the Spurs may a true measuring stick.
After all, the Rockets were supposed to take a step back after trading center Omer Asik and point guard Jeremy Lin and losing forward Chandler Parsons in restricted free agency.
Unfortunately for both sides and maybe even more importantly, the fans, the Spurs, in typical Gregg Popovich style, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were held out of the game. That has allowed the Rockets to roll and although it may not prove much, it was certainly fun to watch. At least, one specific play by Harden was fun. He rose up and absolutely posterized big man Aron Baynes.
