One player from every NBA team with something to prove

We’re a little over a week into the 2014-15 NBA season, and we’ve already gotten a good glimpse at what to expect from almost every team in the association. We know the Los Angeles Lakers are terrible, we know the Oklahoma City Thunder are injury-prone and we know the Cleveland Cavaliers are going through some growing pains.

But everyone struggles in this league, whether it’s because of injuries, heightened expectations and just plain regression. Some guys are given contracts we deem too overpriced, some fail to live up the hype and some are unable to fit in on a new team.

In a perfect world, every NBA player would live up to expectations and we would watch virtually flawless basketball. But that perfect world is boring, and in that spirit, here’s a look at the one player from each and every team who has the most to prove in 2014-15.

These are the guys we’re rooting for. The guys who are playing for a big contract offer next summer or who have a particular reason to be extra motivated this year. Every team’s fan base judges all the players on the roster, but here are the ones that need to have good seasons more than the rest.
